Interested in tackling problems in food industry and meeting new people and working with them?
#FoodHackNS is the innovation-driving food tech event of it’s kind in Nova Scotia brought by the Spark Zone. It is about creating solutions to real food industry problems in a province rich with natural resources and famous for its apples, blueberries and lobster. Yet it is hard to fathom that so many people living in Nova Scotia face food insecurity.
Focused on food innovation, technology and collaboration, our hackathon is bringing together industry-leading brands and top talent from the leading educational institutions in Nova Scotia to tackle this important issue.
The event also features a number of guest speakers from the food industry, technology sectors and academia.
The Hackathon will wrap up with a judging round, with the team with the best idea taking home valuable prizes.
How about food during the event? Don’t worry about food. Meals and refreshments will be provided!
Who can participate?
This event is open to all post-secondary students in Nova Scotia.
